Midland County authorized the creation Midland County Fresh Water District #1.

This District built the water line from the City’s water source in Winkler County to Midland. This line supplies five million gallons a day of Fresh Water without adding any debt to the City or the County.

We all know how important water is to our community.

Cooperation

Midland County and the City of Midland have signed a landmark Interlocal Agreement. It provides for all the necessary services to each entity, while being fair and equitable to the taxpayer.

Midland County donated to the City three state of the art ambulances and one state of the art fire truck. Midland County also provided record grants totaling $500,000 to the local Volunteer Fire Departments. All of this was done from funds of the sale of the old Courthouse. Also, the County sold property to the City for the proposed location of the City’s new Municipal Court.
